How does the assessment work?

Please print out the registration form (see below) and complete it with your child's details, clearly written, and bring the form to the arranged assessment session.

Hand in this form at the start of the assessment to our Swimming coach.


Your child will be asked to sit down by the pool side and be ready for the assessment.  Have your child ready to swim in appropriate swim suit and goggles.


Parents are requested to keep away from the side of the pool at this time to allow the teachers to start with the assessment. Once your child has been assessed the swimming coach will mark the class and level that will be suited to your child.


Payments are done for the whole term, Places will be offered at a first pay, first serve basis.

Swim America Academy  Rules for Conduct and Behaviour

Every child enrolled in our swimming programs will have to adhere to the swim club academy rules and regulations to make sure that the program and development is done in a professional manner and thus, ensures the high quality of service.

  • Swimmers are required to arrive 5 minutes prior to classes commencing. (15 min for senior and junior elite)
  • Swimmers are not allowed to enter the water without the supervision of a Swim America Swimming Coach.
  • Swimmers need to wait quietly on the pool side before the start of the lesson.
  • Swim America Swim caps must be worn at all times.
  • Swimmers need to wear Sports Life swim wear at all times.
  • No jewelry is to be worn during training (includes watches, necklaces, bangles etc).
  • No food is to be consumed at poolside (spectators or swimmers).
  • Swimmers are not allowed to leave the premises without Parents or a Guardian.
  • All Swimmers, Parents and Guardians are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible and appropriate manner at all times and to respect the facilities and their conditions of use.
  • If the swimmer cannot attend a swimming session please inform the coach.  
  • Refunds cannot be given at any time. However if a swimmer is sick, please obtain a sick note from a doctor to arrange a make up lesson with the swimming coach.
  • The Coach is not approachable during swimming session and training (if parents feel that anything needs to be discussed then please make an appointment by mail or phone with sports life swimming coaches or management).
  • Swimmers need to change in the changing rooms, swimmers are not allowed to change on the poolside.
